Obituary of Mark Maddox
Mark Alan Maddox, 52, of Iola, Kansas, died Thursday, February 9, 2012, at the V.A. Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
Mark was born December 22, 1959, in Iola, to Edgar Maddox and Rose Mary (Westhoff) Maddox. He attended school in Iola and served 4 years in the United States Army from 1978-1982.
He was married to Melissa Dix and later divorced. Mark worked at Russell Stovers and as a carpenter.
He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Iola. He enjoyed fishing and flower gardening.
He is survived by his mother; a brother, Stephen, Iola, four sisters, Debra Collins, Deanna Saichompoo, Mary L. Tucker, and Suzanne Krone all of Iola, and 18 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Maddox, and his brother, Gary Maddox.
ROSARY & MASS: The parish rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola, followed by the celebration of the mass at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Robert B. Wachter will be celebrant.
BURIAL: Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas
