Obituary of Lorieta Long
Lorieta H. Long, 80, of Humboldt, Kansas, died Monday, September 6, 2010, at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Humboldt.
Lorieta was born March 10, 1930 on the family farm east of Humboldt the daughter of Arthur and Lucile Daisy (Bale) Elliott. She grew up on the farm.
On October 4, 1947, Lorieta married Harvey Mueller in Iola, Kansas, and they made their home in Humboldt. They had three children before they were divorced.
On June 30, 1978, Lorieta married Dr. Edward E. Long at Lindsborg, Kansas. They made their home in Humboldt and he preceded her in death in October of 1993.
Lorieta was a member of the Humboldt United Methodist Church and was a housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed caring for her family.

She was preceded in death by a son, John Lee (Catfish) Mueller, a sister, Ruth Mueller and an infant brother and sister.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 at the Humboldt United Methodist Church
BURIAL: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, KS
MEMORIAL: Humboldt Historical Society and Museum
