Obituary of Robert Lang
Robert F. "Bob" Lang, 81, of Iola, Kansas, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at the Allen County Hospital.
Bob was born March 2, 1930, at Pilot Grove, Missouri, the son of Walter and Francis (Horst) Lang. He graduated from Pilot Grove High School and served in the United States Army military police during the Korean Conflict. Following his honorable discharge from the service, he lived in Kansas City where he worked as a mechanic at a Ford dealership.
On April 24, 1953, Bob married Lucille M. Caler in Kansas City, Missouri. They made their home in Kansas City until moving to Iola in 1960. He owned and operated Lang Motor Company and later Lanco Distributors. Lucille preceded him in death May 14, 2010.
Bob especially enjoyed restoring antique cars.

2 Sisters: Geraldine Ashpaugh of Booneville, MO and Irene Down of Kansas City, KS

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mildred Kraus.
VISITATION & GRAVESIDE SERVICE: The family will greet friends on Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola, before leaving for Highland Cemetery for graveside services at 10:30. Chaplain Lloyd Houk will officiate.
