Victoria Ruth Johnson, 63, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015, at her home. Vickie was born November 22, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Charles T. and Donna Lou (Page) Dietrich. The family moved to the Iola area in 1956 from Claremore, Oklahoma. She attended Carlyle School, graduated from Iola High School in 1970 and attended Allen County Community College. On February 18, 1973, Vickie married Samuel D. Johnson at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola. They have always made their home in Iola. She was a stay-at-home mom for 22 years and also had a daycare in her home. She worked at Inter-Collegiate Press and retired from Herff-Jones in Iola. Vickie enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and helping others. Cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held later.
