Obituary of Billie King
Billie E. King, 87, formerly of Chanute, Kansas, died Sunday, October 19, 2014, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.
Billie was born April 14, 1927, the daughter of Orlie and Lena (Noland) McCoy, at Earlton, Kansas. She grew up in rural Chanute and Chanute and graduated from Chanute High School in 1945.
On April 28, 1945, Billie married Edgar C. "Ed" King in Humboldt. They made their home in Chanute. Ed preceded her in death January 3, 2012. She moved to Humboldt to be near family.
She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Chanute. Billie enjoyed camping and attending the sporting and school activities of her children and grandchildren.

1 Daughter-In-Law: Karen L. King of Humboldt, KS
6 Grandchildren: Kellie Hallacy & Mitchell King of Humboldt, Kenton King of Colony, Melissa King of Paola, Kasey King of Opolis, and Kylee Broomall of National Park, NJ
5 Great Grandchildren: Melanie Hallacy of Humboldt, Blaine & Easton King of Colony, and Mason & Kayden Broomall of National Park, NJ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons, Edgar Clifford King and Melvern Jerome King, grandson Kolby King and sisters Jean McCoy, Verla Butcher and Mary Herron.
Cremation has taken place.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at Neosho County Memorial Park Cemetery on west 21st Street in Chanute.
