Obituary of Katherine Hill
Katherine Louise Hill, 81, of Colony, Kansas, died Friday, December 18, 2009, at the Anderson County Hospital - Long Term Care Unit in Garnett, Kansas.
Katherine was born March 15, 1928, at Warrensburg, Missouri, the daughter of Harry O. and Flossie Irene (Bradshaw) Hensley. She grew up in the Warrensburg area.
On October 29, 1945, Katherine married James Riley Hill, Jr. at Colorado Springs, Colorado. They made their home on the Hill farm northwest of Colony, Kansas, where she was a domestic engineer. They moved to town in 1987. After they retired, they traveled the world as much as they could. She created an extensive bell collection from their travels. She enjoyed caring for her family and sewing.
She was a member of the Colony Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Jody Rye Hill, a daughter, Judith Roseanne Wolfe and her husband, David, two brothers, Edward and Bobby Hensley and a sister, Joyce Mistler.
VISITATION: 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola, Kansas, prior to the service.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola, Kanas. The Rev. Mark McCoy will officiate.
BURIAL: Inurnment will be in the Colony Cemetery at a later date.
MEMORIAL: Colony Christian Church
Memorial gifts may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
