Obituary of Melba Heath
Melba Jan Heath, 69, of Iola, Kansas, died Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the Allen County Hospital in Iola.
Melba was born October 1, 1942, in Madill, Oklahoma, the daughter of Otto Wall and Roberta Christine (Collins) Byrd. She graduated from high school in Pratt, Kansas. In 1960, she married Clayton Eugene Dunham and they made their home in the Kansas City area. He preceded her in death in 1985.
In 1986, Melba married Donald Gene Heath and they made their home in the Springfield, Missouri area until recently moving to Iola. She was a Baptist.

Husband: Don Heath of the home
2 Sons: Clayton "Bud" E. Dunham, Jr. and Charles "Chuck" Dunham
1 Daughter: Elizabeth Christine "Chris" Heimberg & husband, Steven of Wichita, KS
2 Brothers: Vernon and Terry Byrd
A number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Kids who were important to them in life, calling them PaPaw & MaMaw: Dustin Baker, Nita Baker, Donny Morehead & Crystal Teerlink.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Jo Roberts.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Pastor Michael Quinn will officiate.
BURIAL: Highland Cemetery, Iola, KS
Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, is in charge of arrangements.
