Ben was my first friend in teaching. I met him as a student teacher at Allilson, then joined him at Coleman Jr. Hi. He was my mentor and colleague and lunch pal for 22 years. He taught me a love of students and the art of teaching. He never tired of telling stories of growing up in Neosha Falls.
