David was born April 7, 1980, in Iola, the son of Steven L. and Sandra Kay (Hiser) Garver. He grew up in Iola and graduated from Iola High School in 1998, during his high school years he was avidly involved in Forensics and Drama. David enjoyed all of his friendships throughout the years and made new ones in seconds. He loved to engage you with hour long conversations and always had a joke that would leave a smile on your face, his door was always open for his friends and was always there if you needed help. He loved people and animals.
David then attended college while employed with local companies, including Garver Construction with his older brother Mike. He later worked for Fagen Inc., doing construction and managing the building of Ethanol Plants, working up to acting superintendent. While employed for Fagen he got selected to work on the TransCanada Pipeline.
In 2008 David moved back to Iola to be closer to family and friends with his fiancé Delia, while she was going through a year and a half battle with kidney and liver transplants. He then received his CNA License and was employed with Resource Center for Independent Living in Iola.
David was a member of the Gift of Life Foundation since being the primary caregiver for his fiancé Delia. David and his father Steve shared the same enthusiasm with being involved in Pickleball and later creating and designing pickle paddles, he also enjoyed cars, VWs, motorcycles, movies, music, cooking, animals, swimming, camping, and canoeing.
