Obituary of Leonard Ford
Leonard S. Ford, 94, of Humboldt, Kansas, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at his home. He was born August 19, 1920, in Missouri the son of Bert and Zona ( Stewart ) Ford. He graduated from high school in Springfield, Missouri. On August 30, 1941, Leonard married Dorothy R. Moffitt. He joined the Signal Corp and served as a cryptographer in the Army Air Corp during WW II. He worked as a Prudential Insurance agent for thirty-nine years and began his career in Oswego. He later lived in Parsons before moving to Humboldt in 1959. His wife preceded him in death on August 26, 1974. On September 20, 1975, he married Anna Nelson Weiner and they continued to live in Humboldt. Leonard retired from Prudential in 1980.
He enjoyed playing bridge, fishing, and hunting. Leonard was very civic minded and worked to make Humboldt grow. He was a member of the Humboldt United Methodist Church and a former member of the Humboldt Rotary Club.

Stepdaughter; Mary J. Fibelkorn and husband Stephen of Columbus, Ohio
12 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren
He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
FUNERAL SERVICES 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 24th, at the Humboldt United Methodist Church followed by a visitation.
GRAVESIDE SERVICES 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
