Connie & Frank Wittman posted a condolence
Roxie was wonderful lady. I knew her most of my life. She ran the ceramic shop and she taught my kids how to paint. We put out the Nativity Scene that she helped them with again this year. She also volunteered at the ARC Thrift Shop with my daughter they were good friends. She was always so proud of her family. She will be missed. God Bless all of you.

Our family has several wonderful memories of my mother. Some of the best are from her going to craft shows and fairs, always taking grand kids along and having more or less a picnic with them behind the tables filled with ceramics. She would often tell me about visiting with someone she had taught in school years before. Our saddest time came after her first stroke when she lost half her physical abilty. We all thank the Richmond Health Care Center for providing her a level care that our family could not.

Eldon, Jamie, Kelly, and Mary, Roxie was such a nice person. I enjoyed talking with her during the fair when she would be sitting with her ceramics. She touched many lives through her ceramics. My thoughts and prayers are for your family during this time of sadness. Bless you all.

JoAnne Platt posted a condolence
What a very special lady Roxie has been for so many different individuals. My husband, Gene, always enjoyed having an opportunity to see and/or visit with Roxie, and he was so proud that she was one of his teachers in one of the little one-room schools near his home growing up. We have some of the items they painted in those elementary years, and, of course, they are treasures to us. Roxie also helped us finish up some ceramic projects which my mother, Elizabeth Katzer, had started to work on, but which were still in the greenware stage when we lost her in 2002. We are so grateful that we were able to preserve those pieces which she finished for us. She always had such a wonderful smile and gentle disposition. She had a very positive influence on many people's lives, and it was a privilege to know her. A friend, JoAnne Platt
