Evelyn Dora Coltrane, 92, of rural Humboldt, Kansas, died Monday, March 2, 2009, at the Allen County Hospital in Iola, Kansas. Evelyn was born January 6, 1917, at Uniontown, Kansas, the daughter of Arnold William and Mary Emily (White) Wade. The family settled on a farm south of LaHarpe and she graduated from LaHarpe High School. On October 19, 1935, Evelyn married Arthur O. Coltrane at Erie, Kansas. They made their home in the Salem township northeast of Humboldt. She has lived at her present home for 67 years where they ran a dairy and farmed. Arthur preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 1989. Evelyn was a member of the Humboldt United Methodist Church and the Salem Social Club. She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles and watching game shows. SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Jerry L. Coltrane & wife, Ann of Elmhurst, IL and Douglas A. Coltrane & wife, Cheryl of rural Humboldt, KS 2 Daughters: Carol Olson & husband, James of Albuquerque, NM and Jo Ann Clum & husband, Dwight of Hiawatha, KS 9 Grandchildren 19 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson, Andrew Richard Coltrane, a sister, Margaret Coltrane and by a brother, Arnold Marion Wade. VISITATION: 6-8:00 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2009, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. FUNERAL: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2009, at the Humboldt United Methodist Church. The Rev.
