Margaret A. Cole, 87, of Iola, Kansas, died Monday, February 9, 2009, at the Allen County Hospital in Iola. Margaret was born April 9, 1921, at Neosho Falls, Kansas, to Andrew and Minnie (Beardon) Fields. She moved to Iola with her family and attended school here. Margaret married Raymond L. Cole in Iola, and they made their home in Chanute until moving to Iola in 1979. He died on April 27, 1990. SURVIVORS: 2 Sons: Raymond Cole of San Bernardino, CA, and Richard Cole of Indianapolis, IN 3 Daughters: Margo Cole of Topeka, KS, Tracy Rogers of LaHarpe, KS, and Mary Graham-Cole of Colton, CA 12 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by a son, Jack Adair and by a grandson, Justin Graham. FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:00 p.m., Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. The Rev. Phil Honeycutt will officiate. Cremation will follow the service.
