I met Kirby when I first moved to Iola in 1986. He would come into Pizza Hut while I was working and once he knew my name, never forgot it! As the years passed, we would run into each other at various places around Iola and he ALWAYS would say "hi" and ask about me and my family. I truly don't think Kirby knew a stranger and always had a smile on his face. I also remember when he first became a Daddy...gosh, he was so proud! I hope his family can hold dear to good times shared with Kirby and have comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain. Rest in peace, friend. Kirby, you will be missed!

My sympathy goes out to Kirby's family at this difficult time. I didn't know Kirby for too many years, but he never failed to have a smile on his face and a welcoming greeting of "Hi Joyce!". He will be missed by many.

Kirby rode by my home on Sycamore everyday when I was a youth. A smile, a wave and a enthusiastic HI is how I'll remember him. God Bless Kirby, R.I.P.

I met Kirby through my former job at the hospital. He was always joking with me and I missed him when he stopped riding with us. May you find comfort in the coming days knowing how many hearts he touched.

My thoughts are with you at this sad time. I never saw Kirby when he would not call you by name, wave and ask how are you. He had a good sense of humor and didn't know a stranger. He will be missed. Keep close your memories and remember those when your days are long and miss him.

LaDonna & Tiffany, so sorry for your loss. I met your Dad & Sue in the hospital while we were sharing a room after giving birth. I had my little one in one arm & Tiffany in my other. They used to tease me how I was their free babysitter in the hospital. Your Mom & Dad always spoke when they saw me & Kirby always had good stories to tell. I always enjoyed seeing him. God bless his soul and may God give you girls the comfort and the strength you need to make it through this sad time.

I remember Kirby from childhood. He was about the friendliest child around, always wanting to play outside. He really loved the outside. As he grew older and his physical condition declined, Kirby would be out on his motorized scooter, enjoying the outside. He can now be free. I'm sorry to hear about his passing. He spoke of the love of his children. You were his pride and joy. My condolences.
