Gene was my mentor. I learned a lot from Gene while on the road doing Wide World of Sports. He was smart, kind and a great sense of humor. I was saddened to hear of his passing. God bless you and your family.
I will miss you Gene. I loved the way you mustache curled. It tickled so much when I got my cheek kisses at the Funk Reunions. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers as they deal with your passage through the Pearly Gates.
Sorry to hear of Gene's passing, he was a dear friend of ours, had many happy times with him in the Hardly Able Fire Company shrine unit. He has been missed in our get togethers and parades lately, but the memories will linger on, our hearts and prayers go out to the families.
