Marilyn was always so good to me. I started working for Iola Grain Co. after I graduated from Marmaton Valley High School. The day I was to begin working with her she was in a car accident. She was so patient with me, teaching me how to be a bookkeeper, while she was healing from the wreck. She patiently taught me how to use the calculator, without looking, lol. I enjoyed visiting with her every day. She introduced me to so many people, things, and experiences related to farming. She had to teach me what shorts were! We would talk about family and life together everyday! She taught me so much, she taught me how to be patient! We went to lunch together every day, enjoyed dinner sometimes together, went to Kansas City to Christmas shop. I will surely miss her smile, intelligence, and zest for life! Marilyn, thank you for all you did for me! Love you!

Larry and family, We were deeply saddened to learn of Marilyn's passing. We treasured our friendship with the two of you and remember her ever present smile available to all. No words are adequate to lessen your grief, but be assured that we will pray to God to give your family comfort during this trying time. You will be in our thoughts. We thought of sending flowers, but then decided a better tribute to her would be a memorial gift to the Moran Christian Church that we all loved.
