A few things I wanted to say at the service, but couldn't find the strength: I was very privileged to become a part of this family and to have the greatest father figure anyone could ask for. He never once made me feel like any less than "his girl", although I gave him plenty of reasons to as I grew up with him. The man I knew was somewhat different than what the other kids remember of him growing up on the farm. The man I grew up with did not live with the stress and grind of the farm, but maintained that strong work ethic in whatever task or job he did. I learned a lot from his example. He exemplified strength, love, humor, and family values to me and I will forever be grateful. I will miss him so much, but it gives me peace that he suffers from pain and debility no more and that we will all see his beautiful blue eyes and contagious smile again in a better place. I love and miss you Dad!
