Obituary of Sharon L Hardman
Sharon L. "Rosie" Hardman, age 71, of Bronson, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Via Christy Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas.
She was born November 7, 1938, at Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Leo and Freeda (McNatt) Bracken. She graduated from John Swett High School in Rodeo, California.
Rosie worked as a bookkeeper for most of her life and raised her four children. She met Benny Hardman and married him on August 29, 1981 at Benicia, California. They made their way back to southeast Kansas until settling in Bronson, Kansas.
She loved crafts and took painting classes, was very artistic. Rosie was an excellent cook and loved to make people smile. Ben and Rosie owned and operated the Landmark in Moran and "Uncle Ben's" in Bronson, Kansas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Freeda Bracken; and a brother, Raymond Bracken.
She is survived by her husband, Benny Hardman, of the home; one son, Rick Curl of Iola, Kansas; three daughters, Cheryl Rush of Tracey, California; Brenda Bassett of Hutchinson, Kansas; and Vicky Morgan of Farlington, Missouri; Fourteen grandchildren, Kim Dodson, Chris Rouse, Rebecca Hanson, Brittany Jackson, Benjamin Jackson, Ariane Cottrell, Chenine Cottrell, Albert Cottrell, Briana Curl, Taylor Curl, and Brandon Vinall, Heather Curl, Kristen Peppmier, and Kimberly Brenneman and thirteen great grand- children.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, November 8, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Moran, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
