Obituary of Lester L Wolf

Lester L. Wolf, age 88, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017, at Allen County Regional Hospital in Iola. Lester was one of three children born to Ora L. and Winnie (McVey) Wolf. He was born on April 17, 1928 near Uniontown, Kansas. He married Norma Jean Cline on December 10, 1949 in Grandview, Washington. Together they had three children. They later moved to rural Iola, Kansas to farm with his father, and he also worked 19 years at Lehigh Portland Cement in Iola. They then moved to Emporia, Kansas, where he worked 19 years at Iowa Beef Packing Company. Lester retired in 1991 and they moved to Colville, Washington in 1992. They returned to Iola in 1996. During his retirement he loved to do woodworking, refinishing furniture and building all types of birdhouses. Lester was preceded in death by his parents; brother Harold Wolf; and sister Marie Ramsey. He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean, of the home; two daughters, Marsha E. Burris and husband, Richard, of Iola, Kansas, Donna Troxel and husband, Kerry, of Adams, Wisconsin, son Gary L. Wolf and wife Dee, of Emporia, Kansas; seven grandchildren, R. Aaron Burris and wife Heather J. of Topeka, Kansas, Heather D. True and husband Brian of Leroy, Kansas, Chris Troxel and wife Audrey of Buffalo, New York, Bill Troxel of Coloma, Wisconsin, Melissa Albright and husband Frank of Coloma, Wisconsin, Tyson L. Wolf and wife Stacy of Olpe, Kansas, and Niki Daniels and husband Rick of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; 14 great grandchildren, Glenna, Emily, Brett, Dergan, Jordan, Kessia, Shonie, Reagan, Kyleigh, Frankie, Ashlyn, Daven, Colten and Wyatt; and one great great grandchild Liam. Services for Lester are private and under the direction of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service of Iola.
