Grant, Ken and I visited Woody about six months before he moved to Texas. He was a very energetic 'young' 91 years old at the time. I loved talking to him, because as a retired military type myself, we had a lot in common, although his experiences were several years before mine. He had a glint in his eye and a smile on his face for everyone. I remember hearing how, at the age of 85, he could be seen flying around McLeansboro on his motorcycle. I know he was loved by all who knew him. He will be missed!!
