Obituary of Kenneth Q. Webb

Kenneth Q. Webb, age 86, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Richmond Healthcare and Rehab facility in Richmond, Kansas. He was born June 15, 1924, in Alden, Kansas, the son of Jerry Delorma and Maude (Burroughs) Webb. Kenneth farmed with his father. He also worked for neighbors in the local community and on Wednesday nights, the local skating rink allowed the community to come and skate. That's where je met Virginia Webb. They were married on September 10, 1948 in Partridge, Kansas. This union was blessed with six children. Kenneth worked for various Co-op's around the state of Kansas for thirty-eight years. He started in Hutchinson, Satanta, then taking a manager position at Englewood. He later worked at the Burlingame Co-op as the manager. They moved to Garnett in 1978, working for the Anderson County Co-op, where he retired as the General Manager in 1986. He was a member of the Rotary Club at Burlingame; the Burlingame Federated Church. Kenneth began his love for woodworking and they began their traveling to the craft shows. He loved to be with his family, they took family vacations yearly. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry D. and Maude Webb; three sisters, Echo, Nola, and Opal, three brothers, Delorma, Francis, and Loren; and one great grandson, R.J. Rojas. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Webb, of the home; one son, Jerry Dean Webb of Garnett, Kansas; five daughters, Carol Scheuerman and husband Michael of Garnett, Kansas; Mary Ann Webb and Donald Kittle of Garnett, Kansas; Beverly Yoder and husband Vernon of Garnett, Kansas; Janice Davidson and Roger Burgess of Burlingame, Kansas; and Joyce Trammell and husband Eric of Garnett, Kansas; one brother, Murray Webb and wife Joan of Yuma, Arizona; one sister, Anita Wells of Pittsboro, Indiana; Twelve grandchildren and Sixteen great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson, Kansas. The family will be present to greet friends from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett.
