Obituary of Sharon Kay Blevins
Sharon Kay Blevins, age 59, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at her home in Ottawa.
She was born on October 12, 1950 in Yates Center, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph and Mary (Guffey) Blevins. She grew up in Colony, Kansas, graduating from Colony High School. Following school she later moved to Duncan, Oklahoma. In 1995 she moved back to Garnett. Sharon worked as a C.N.A. at the Osawatomie State Hospital. She loved fishing and taking pictures, watching scary movies, and her Route 44 Cokes, but most of all she enjoyed her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one nephew, J.L. Blevins.
Sharon is survived by two sons, Todd Sharp of Olathe, Kansas; Travis Sharp of Greeley, Kansas; three grandchildren; Rhiannon, Allison and Ashlie; three sisters, Peggy Schuster and husband John of Garnett, Kansas; Diana Peck of Lawton, Oklahoma; Marlene Schales and husband Orvis of Deer Park, Texas; two brothers, Jack Blevins and wife Janie of Garnett, Kansas; Jim Blevins and wife Mona of Greeley, Kansas; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 9, 2010 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service chapel in Garnett. The family will greet friends following the service. A private family inurnment will follow at the Yates Center Cemetery.
