Sadness fills our hearts for your loss. Although you knew this day would come, and it was expected, it still hurts. Nothing can prepare you for feelings you have when a spouse/parent passes away.
Your heart hurts deeper than you ever knew it could.
So when someone tells you a memory they have, or perhaps you see something as you are driving that reminds you of him, you smile. For that will be his reminder to you that he is only a thought away. You keep his memory alive by never forgetting.
