Dearest Lois & Family:
So sorry to hear of Karl passing, what a great man he was and such a dear friend to everyone he met. He will be missed so much by his friends and church family. We do know that there is a better place on the other side, but does not make us want to give up our loved ones though.
May God Bless you and keep you in your hours of sadness

Lois,
I always enjoyed Karl's smile and he always went out of his way to come say hi to our family. He singled us out to make us feel welcome. There aren't many like him in this world. Cherish your many wonderful memories. We didn't know him long but we will cherish our memories.

Lois, You and Karl have been the best neighbors we could ever ask for. It was always a joy when I talked with Karl, and when he helped me. He went out of his way to help everybody around him. He will be missed by his friends and family a lot. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Karl Gebert was a very interesting and congenial man. He was kind, helpful and friendly to everyone. Garnett was very fortunate when he and Lois retired here. We extend our deepest sympathy to Lois and the family. Karl will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Dearest Lois and Family,
We can't tell you how saddened we are by Karl's passing. Karl was the personification of the word neighbor. It is unfathomable to think that he is no longer across the street. Karl went out of his way to make us feel welcome in the neighborhood. Oh, how we will miss visiting with him! Our loss is certainly heaven's gain.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Lois & family, My family and I are truly sorry about Karl's passing. You two have been great neighbors. I loved listening to Karl and Wayne on any given day sitting in our yard or in front of Karl's garage solving the world's problems. Occasionally, they would let me chime in. Karl would often say in the afternoon he had better leave..it was coffee time. You always had coffee for him in mid afternoon. Lois, how fortunate you & I have been to have been married to good Christian men that had a deep love for their families and friends.. You are in our prayers. Love Betty Penn

We remember when you moved into our part of town and loved watching all the changes happening to a house that became your home. Loved the color and the roof--quite unique at the time. We are sure Karl knew/helped most of the people in Garnett. Thank you Lois for sharing him with us, he will be missed. Our prayers are with you and your family.

I enjoyed working with Karl during the Christian Church remodeling soon after I moved back to Garnett. He was always kind and helpful and I enjoyed visiting with him.
On behalf of the Anderson County Historical Society I want to express our thanks for Karl's help on projects and loaning tools during our work on the Harris House. He kept a watch on the house and let us know when a light had been left on or the flag light was off.
The flagpole which he donated to the Harris House will be a lasting remembrance.
