Dean, you were a tough, independent woman who looked your life right in the eyes and embraced every minute with gratitude. Your deep love of the earth, nature and wide open spaces, never afraid to lift a hand to help, fix a meal, take someone in to care for and to never give up, will be remembered. Your love of work, fairness and family is an inspiration to many of how to live our lives. You knew your opinion and happy to express it. Whether a conversation, a kiss, a pat or a hug, you knew you were loved by Dean. I am grateful, for knowing you and touched by your love.

Oh Grandma Dean,
What can I say ? What a true Christian you were. You talked the talk and walked the walk. You are the reason I got saved. I already miss you. I will always remember how you loved your family, your church, crocheting, going to Kansas City to garage sales, playing pokeno (back in the day), feeding the birds and your job at Wal-Mart. Oh, how your face lit up when you seen your grandkids. All the special memories you made by having those special play days with those five grandsons of yours. I hope I will leave a legacy of love to my grandchildren like you did. I will miss our talks, visits, hugs, and lunches with friends. You are truly home now. No more doctor visits, hospitals and medicines to take. You will always live on in my heart. What a inspiration to all of us. I love you. God bless you. Nita

Aunt Dean, even though I've told you thank you many times before, I needed to tell you one last time. Thank you for taking me to Sunday school and for the couch to sleep on while I waited for the school bus. Thanks you for the sidewalk where I learned to ride a skateboard and for the road to your house where I learned to drive a car. Thanks for the homemade ice cream, popcorn and for the ice cold water from the well house. Thanks for letting us use your yard to catch lighting bugs and play horseshoes and your kitchen table to play cards and board games on. Thanks for the Barbie clothes and the cards with pressed flowers. Thank you for helping me get a job at Wal-Mart and the baby socks for my girls. Thanks for trying to teach me to crochet a dozen times and never losing your patience. Thanks for the talks about God, family and flowers. But most of all, thank you for always having a home where I felt welcome and for loving me so much and not being afraid to show it. I will miss you until we meet again. All my love, Lori

Dear Pam and family,
You have my sympathy at this time of loss of your dear mother. Geraldine was such a wonderful person. It was my privilege to become acquainted with her while working in the doctor's office. We had many good conversations and her strong faith in God, her family and love of life in general was very evident when visiting with her. She was an inspiration to me.
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I know you will miss her greatly.
Love, Dorothy Miller
