Dear Livingston Family,
Sonia and I extend our deepest sympathy upon the loss of your Mom, our Aunt Jean. She brought delight to all of those she touched each day. I was always struck by the joy and optimism in her outlook and personality. She had a special quality (shared by Aunt Marge, Bernice, and Christina) which I describe as subdued flambouyance. She always cared how she appeared, she exuded unwavering optimism, and held great pride in the Katzer family. She was always at the center of the limelight in social situations. That was not because she sought it out; it was simply because that is where she belonged. Her kindness and smile, wit, spiritual strength, and strong persona will be missed. All of us who knew her (and especially her immediate family) can take strength from our kinship and friendship with Aunt Jean.
