Obituary of Agnes Pearman
Agnes Pearman, 91, of Iola, Kansas, passed away peacefully in the midst of family on Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Windsor Place Nursing Center in Iola, after a month of confined illness.
She was born Agnes Fern McIntyre at Savonburg, Kansas, on July 21, 1918 as the youngest of three children to parents George and Alice (Thompson) McIntyre. Agnes grew up on the family farm east of Humboldt, attended country schools and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1937.
On September 7, 1938, Agnes married Richard Pearman in Yates Center, Kansas by a Justice of the Peace. They have been married 71 years.
Agnes was a homemaker as well as a partner in life and business with her husband - hauling milk and home interior finishing - in Iola and the surrounding area for many years.
She was active in the Fiddlers and Pickers for many years and served as an officer. In 1996, The State Of Kansas Fiddlers and Pickers awarded Agnes with a plaque honoring her years of dedicated service and support.

Nephew: Steve Orcutt & wife, Cecilia of Iola, KS
Their families and many loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Wilfred "Dick" McIntyre, sister, Velma Orcutt and nephews Junior, Harold, and Jerry McIntyre.
VISITATION: 7:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:30 p.m., Thursday, July 8, 2010, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. The Chaplain Lloyd W. Houk will officiate.
BURIAL: Mount Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, KS
MEMORIAL: Iola Senior Center Congregate Meal Site
