Obituary of Virgil Uriah Kimberlin

Virgil Uriah Kimberlin, age 67 of Moran, Kansas passed away, Monday, February 08, 2010 at the Allen County Hopsital, Iola, Kansas. Virgil was born July 4, 1942 at Harrisonville, Missouri, the son of Loren Estel and Helen Fay (Yeates) Kimberlin. He grew up in the Dayton community in Cass County, Missouri. In 1967 he moved to Oskaloosa, Kansas with his parents. He would later move to Melvern, and Virgil, Kansas before moving to Moran in 2002. Virgil loved to enjoy a glass of iced tea, play dominoes, watch the Price Is Right, hunt rabbits and mushrooms, but his favorite activity was visiting friends in Moran on his scooter. He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant brother and a sister, Loraine Fletcher. Virgil is survived by one brother, Wendell Kimberlin of Altoona, Kansas; four sisters, Francine Bryant and husband, J.B. of Warsaw, Missouri, Janice Kimberlin and husband, Dale Lansdown Sr. of Bronson, Kansas, Katherine Gibson and husband, David of Creighton, Missouri, and Josephine Eccles and husband, J.D. of Gridley, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service chapel in Moran. Interment will follow in the Bronson Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation and sent in care of the funeral home.
