Obituary of Ann Michael
Ann E. Michael, 77, of Colony, Kansas, died Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at Windsor Place Nursing Center in Iola, Kansas.
Ann was born July 23, 1933, on the family farm south of Westphalia, Kansas, the daughter of Clement Francis and Lena Fredricka (Weber) Dieker. She attended St. Teresa Catholic School then Westphalia Rural High School.
On November 7, 1951, Ann married William R. Michael at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Westphalia. They made their home in Westphalia for 24 years and Garnett for 3 years before moving to Colony in 1978.
Ann worked in housekeeping at Anderson County Hospital for 10 years and H.L. Miller & Son Dress Factory in Iola before retiring.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and Altar Society in Iola and the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Garnett.

She was preceded in death by a son, William Joseph Michael, in 1981, a grandson, Travis Kipper in 1998, and by siblings, Clarence Dieker, Robert Dieker, Marie Lutz and several in infancy.
ROSARY & VISITATION: 7:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola, Kansas. Visitation will follow the rosary in St. John's Parish Center.
FUNERAL MASS: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola. The Reverend Robert Wachter will be celebrant.
BURIAL: St. Teresa Catholic Cemetery in Westphalia, KS
