Sharing you sorrow at the loss of Fern. She was such a help to me when I started teaching music in 1972 in Iola. She was a great lady and I always wished I could play the piano half as good as she could. She accompanied me many times and was always a joy to work with. Her love and passion for music was wonderful. I loved her smiling face and willingness to give to her community. She will definitely be missed.

Fern will be sorely missed. I hadn't talked to her for a month so her death came as a shock to me. I am so glad that there will be a choir for her memorial because that is just where I want to be. Her obituary should have been front page news. I honored and loved Fern. She loved her family so much and was so proud of all of you. Carol Chrisenberry

I remember Miss Marsh's encouragement that although it was a lot to memorize, the song was important for us to learn and it would help us when we went on to the bigger demanding world of junior high....30+ years later I still think of Miss Marsh fondly whenever I need to recall one of the "The Fifty Nifty United States." Miss Marsh's kind enthusiasm and talent created a tremendous legacy. Sending my sympathy to her family and friends, Stacey Walsh (Jefferson Elementary 1975-78)

Ms. Marsh was my music teacher from Kindergarten through 6th grade. I enjoyed her music class. She had a positive impact on my life as a teacher and a person. We also attended the same church. Not many people have made a difference in so many kids lives. Thank you Ms. Marsh you will be missed.
