Obituary of Larry Korte
Larry Edward Korte, 59, of rural Iola, Kansas, died Friday, August 27, 2010, following a farm accident.
Larry was born March 5, 1951, at Emporia, Kansas, the son of John Henry and Margaret Rose (Burenheide) Korte. He grew up on the family farm northeast of Humboldt. He attended Zillah Grade School and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1969.
On August 8, 1969, Larry married Cheryl Frame and they made their home at rural Elsmore for over 32 years. He farmed and has worked as a mechanic a number of years for Storrer Implement, Inc. in Iola.
On January 9, 2007, Larry married Linda (Knight) Marvin and they have made their home at rural Iola.
Larry enjoyed working with his cattle and horses.

His Mother-In-Law: Diana Ross of Moran, KS
A number of nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Virgil Knight.
Cremation has taken place.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 5:00 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.
VISITATION: 5:30-7:00 p.m. Sunday following the service
MEMORIAL: Allen County 4-H Youth Horse Program
