Dear Sue We have such wonderful memories of our many years of friendship -- when Glee & Tony served in the Senate together -- at all Republican functions, Kansas Day activities, and at so many KU functions -- alumni, endowment, law reunions, football games, etc. He was a wonderful friend and we shall always miss him. We learned of his death on Saturday morning when we were reading the paper and having a late breakfast -- just at the time of the service in Iola. Had we known earlier, we would have driven down for his service. We will continue to remember you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss Tony -- but we send our love and prayers , with special caring. Glee and Jerry Smith
